The film is based on the inspirational true story of Wang Zheng Zhong, a passionate super teacher, who won multiple educational awards in Taiwan. During the 921 earthquake in 1999, Wang Zheng Zhong volunteered himself to move to and teach in one of the poorest villages in Taiwan. With his determination and creative teaching method, he was able to change how education was perceived in rural areas in Taiwan and created a positive impact on the situation. |
