Born in 1963, Liu Chen Hsiang is a senior photographer in Taiwan and graduated from Department of Fine Arts of Fu-Hsin Trade & Arts School. In the 1980s, he was the editor of the monthly photography magazine Taipei People, and the director of photography center of Independent Morning Post. Since 1987, He has enduringly photographed the performances of Cloud Gate Dance Theater, including Nine Songs, Formosa, Songs of the Wanderers, etc., and he was awarded the Photography Award of Wu San-Lien Awards.He made film stills for Hou Hsiao-Hsien's Dust in The Wind, Edward Yang's The Terrorizers, Huang Hsin-Yao's The Great Buddha + and several films by CHUNG Mong-Hong, including A Sun, Godspeed and The Fourth Portrait.
