Born in 1983, David Chuang acquired his MFA in directing from Department of Film making of Taipei National University of the Arts and studied computer visual effects at Vancouver Film School in Canada. He was nominated for Golden Harvest Awards with Spoon-The Walldog(for Best Animation Short) and Revenge(for Best Fiction Short). In 2017, he was nominated for Best Television Mini-series/TV Movie and Best Directing for a Mini-series/TV movie of Golden Bell Awards with Upstream. In 2018, he released his first feature film, The Devil Fish.
