Point Hsu was the DJ of Hurt Deeply and Monkey Insane rock bands. He started learning turntable techniques in 1990, and has participated in numerous music festivals in Japan. Specializing in incorporating electronic music with traditional opera, he has earned a Golden Melody nomination. In 2015, he found Aspiration Music Productions with Lim Giong to produce musical scores that combine elements of Western and Eastern music as well as perform digital music. He won the Golden Horse Award for best original film score for "Long Day's Journey Into Night" in 2018. He died of liver cancer in December 2022 at the age of 48. |
