Cheng Yu-Chieh (1977-) is a director, a screenwriter and an actor. He graduated from the Department of Economics of National Taiwan University. His first short film "Private Face" won the Special Jury Award at the Golden Lion International Student Film Festival of Taipei Film Festival, and "Summer, Dream" won the Golden Horse Award for Best Short Film and the Taipei Film Award for Best Narrative Film. With the feature film "Do Over", he won the million-dollar Grand Prize at Taipei Film Awards. The TV series "Days We Stared at the Sun" written and directed by him received eight Golden Bell Award nominations (and won five Golden Bell Awards). He acted in the TV series "Police et vous" and the movies "The Greater Good", "The Pig, The Snake, and The Pigeon", etc. |
