Panay, who works far away from home in the big city, returns to take care of her father who has fallen ill. She finds that the invasion of sightseeing buses and tourists has damaged the simplicity and tranquility of her aboriginal village. In order to revive the villagers’ affection for the land, Panay’s father persistently goes into the mountains alone to fix the dam to irrigate the land left uncultivated for many years.
