Amount Of Funding

Motion Pictures

  • The amount of funding is up to 30% of total expenses in Taiwan, with a maximum of NT$ 30 million(about US$ 1 million).
  • If there are any additional funding support obtained from other public sectors in Taiwan, the total amount of funding received from public sectors in Taiwan shall not exceed 50% of total expenses in Taiwan.

Television Dramas

  • The amount of funding is up to 30% of total expenses in Taiwan, with a maximum of NT$ 20 million.
  • If there are any additional funding support obtained from other public sectors in Taiwan, the total amount of funding received from public sectors in Taiwan shall not exceed 50% of total expenses in Taiwan, with a maximum of NT$ 20 million.

Funding Category

  • 45% HR expenses, 35% production expenses and 20% transportation, lodging, and insurance expenses.
  • Employment of local audiovisual professionals as 70+% of important division heads will have chance to receive more funding for HR expenses.

Eligibility

Motion Pictures

  • Directed by foreign directors whose productions have been honored with “Best Director” and/or “Best Film” award at the Cannes International Film Festival, the Venice International Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival or the Academy Awards.
  • Produced by foreign motion picture production enterprises whose expenses during the period of filming and production operations in Taiwan reach NT$ 30 million.

Television Dramas

  • Directed by foreign directors whose productions have been honored with “Best Director” and/or “Best Drama” award(s) at the International Emmy Awards, the Primetime Emmy Awards, or the Seoul International Drama Awards.
  • Produced by foreign television production enterprises whose expenses during the period of filming and production operations in Taiwan reach NT$ 60 million.

Applicant

Application via a Taiwan-based production partner is advised to avoid language barriers and communication issues.
