Major cadet LIU Yung has been a general. After retired from the army, he raised three children, including an adopted boy, by himself. As a life-time soldier and a devoted father, LIU Yung treated his children with severity. As a result three of them developed a very tight bond among them and his way of treating children makes him looks like a distant father. This caused Deh-Rong, the youngest son, became derailed adolescent. When he killed somebody by accident, Chung-Feng, the adopted son went to jail for him. LIU is presently hospitalized because of a serious stroke which makes him paralyzed. He needs someone to take care of him permanently. After a violent quarrel with Doh-Rong and Tsae-juen, LIU returns home from hospital. Tsae-juen decides to quit her job to look after his father whose health is going worse and worse, and Deh-rong also makes efforts to help his father go through his final days with dignity. Close
