One day, three-year-old Yuxiang went to the beach with his mother. It was a bright and sunny day, but when he raised his eyes to the sky, the sun seemed very dim. This was the last thing Yuxiang remembered seeing. Years later, Yuxiang is the only blind student at a college for music and arts. Though he stands apart from the other students, their lively noises fill him with joy. As the school empties and settles into silence, Yuxiang finds solace by practicing the piano late into the evening. Yuxiang’s music leads a fellow dance student to him – Xiao Jie, whose heart has just been broken by her boyfriend. Though separated by the practice room door, though they have never met, Yuxiang and Xiao Jie immediately discover a connection through music and become fast friends, her voice adding lyrics to the melody of his piano.Together, they make a plan to return to the beach where Yuxiang lost his sight.
