Director

Mr.Shih got his master's degree in communication arts at New York Institute of Technology. He is one of the few longtime independent animatino filmmakers in Taiwan. When studying in the Department of Fine Arts at the Chinese Culture University, he had started to make 8mm animation films and experiment films and partake in the works for little theatre. He won several animation awards at the Golden Harvest Awards for Short film and Video. After graduation from university, he co-established the Cats Animation Company, the first clay animation film studio in Taiwan. Later he won the Best Animation award at the 32nd Golden Horse Awards for his work Post-Human Being. He was a member of the Chinese-language Film Selection Committee of the 31st and 34th Golden Horse Awards.
