Born in 1966, Juang holds a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from National Taiwan University, and engaged in advanced studies at the Tainan National University of the Arts in audio/visual documentary research. Juang claims to have accomplished nothing, lacked focus, and frittered away time until finally embarking upon a career in film work at the age of 35. Recent works include documentaries on Taiwanese elections, Baituo, Baituo! and Election Rhapsody, and on elderly farmers, The Last Rice Farmer.
