郭箏
KUO Cheng
Scriptwriter
Born in 1955, Kuo Cheng, whose birth name is Tao Te-san, is the younger brother of Taiwanese New Wave Cinema director Tao Te-chen. As a talented writer, Kuo has published numerous books, with some of them winning domestic literary prizes. He has also garnered several awards for his screenplays.
In 2002, he and director Ho Ping both won the Best Scriptwriting at the Deauville Asian Film Festival in 2002. Later he has also wrote screenplays for "Red Cliff" by John Woo Yu-Sen and "Where the Wind Settles" by Wang Toon.
