Born to glove puppet master Huang Chun-hsiung in 1955, Chris Huang is the third generation of the family of glove puppeteers. In the 1980s, he founded Pili Dramas, which combines traditional craft with digital effects to enhance the sound and visual effects of blasts. Huang has also dedicated to improving the backdrops, quality of glove puppets and puppetry techniques. Later he directed and brought glove puppetry productions, including "Legend of The Sacred Stone" and "The Arti: The Adventure Begins" to the silver screen. He has received the Outstanding Technique of the Year at the Taipei Film Festival.

In recent years, Chris Huang leads Pili International Multimedia to go international with the cultural and creative concept of puppet show. Pili and the Japanese animation master Urobuchi Gen collaborated on the fantasy martial arts puppet TV series, Thunderbolt Fantasy, which aroused an enthusiastic response from fans.
