A veteran documentary director, Ke Jin-Yuan (1962-) was the first documentary filmmaker to receive the National Award for Arts. He has received over 90 awards throughout his career, including Best Documentary at the Taipei Film Awards, awards at the Taiwan International Documentary Festival, Best Director at the New York Television Festival, Best Director (Non-Drama) at the Golden Bell Awards, Best Film at the Montana Film Festival, etc. He has directed “Biographies of Formosan Macaque”, “Lost Horizon”, and “Ocean”.
