Born in Changhua, Taiwan, Lin Chun-Yang (1980-) graduated from the Graduate School of Filmmaking at the National Taipei University. A renowned Taiwanese director and cinematographer known for his style based on social realism, his recent representative works include television series (“The World Between Us,” “Gold Leaf,” and “Wave Makers.”) He has won the Best Directing for a Television Series at the 54th Golden Bell Awards and the Best Directing for a Mini-Series at the 58th Golden Bell Awards. He won the Best Director Award at the 25th Taipei Film Awards for the film “Eye of the Storm.” Lin Chun-Yang's works foreground characters’ emotions, social observation, and detail. He excels at capturing humanity and the atmosphere of the times through imagery and is hailed as one of the most skilled contemporary filmmaker-storytellers in Taiwan.
