Born in 1973 and graduated from Tamkang University with a degree in mass communication, Ma Nien-hsien made his singing debut with the band Sticky Rice, whose whimsical style is popular among fans. He has written songs for films including "Zone Pro Site," "Love Go Go" and "52Hz, I love you," which earned him several Golden Horse nominations for best original song. Moreover, he also played in several TV dramas and films, and is best-known for the role "Malasun" in "Cape No.7." He has continued to be active in the film industry in the recent years.
