Lin Yung-Yi graduated from the Department of Information Communication at Yuan Ze University. As a student, his directorial work "The Carrier" was selected for the Taipei Film Festival and won the Golden Harvest Award for Best Narrative Video. He has collaborated with the Golden Horse Awards (opening films for the Golden Horse Awards ceremony, a collection of highlights from the Awards’ previous editions, and a collection of interviews with finalists). He has edited the trailers of "The Village of No Return", "See You Tomorrow", and "Cape No. 7". His other works include "Monga", "Sweet Alibis", "Day Off", and "Coo-Coo 043".
