Ying-Chuan WEI

Ying-Chuan Wei is a veteran theater director and graduated from New York University with a master of arts in educational theater. She is the founder of Shakespeare's Wild Sisters Group and a founding member of Creative Society. Her theater works have toured in Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Busan, Hong Kong, Beijing and other cities, and she is very active in major international art festivals. Her work, Blossoms in Wonderland, even performed over one hundred performances, setting a record for theatre performance in Taiwan.
In addition, she also stepped into the field of film making, serving as the executive producer of the films directed by her husband Hung-Yi Chen. These films include The Last Painting, Candy Rain and Design 7 Love, which have been repeatedly recognized by domestic and foreign film festivals. She co-directed her first film, As We Like It with her husband, and this romantic comedy is made with western and Taiwanese elements.
