Wei-San Hsu

Wei-San Hsu is a Los Angeles based composer originally from Taipei, Taiwan. She holds a professional diploma from Berklee College of Music and a master’s degree in Film Scoring from NYU.

She has scored films and animations that have gained recognition at Berlinale, Tribeca, IDFA, and Hot Docs. Her score for the documentary "Invisible Nation" received an SCL Award nomination from the Society of Composers and Lyricists. Her score for "Beneath the Banyan Tree" was nominated for Best Original Score of an Independent Foreign Language Film at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

Her work spans a diverse range of media, including films, animations, commercials, and music for installations. She is a member of the Music Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and a Berlinale Talents alum.
