After graduating from New York University with a master's degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia, Hsu Wei-san has engaged in creating commercials music and film scores in Los Angeles. Combining classical, jazz, pop, rock and folk, she has earned multiple recognitions for her diverse music styles. She has won Best Original Score at the First Run Film Festival in New York for "Beach Closed in Winter." In 2017, she was selected the best composer by Los Angeles Live Score Film Festival.

She also composed scores for Taiwanese films including "Another Woman" and "Apolitical Romance."
