Born in the U.S. in 1971, Barney Cheng is a Taiwanese American director, screenwriter and actor. He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science. He had acted in several films including "Mission: Impossible III" by J.J. Abrams and "Hollywood Ending" by Woody Allen.

In 2015, his semi-biographical film titled "Baby Steps," which was written, directed, and played by him, draw public attention and discussion for its fresh topic.
