Huang Xi (1975-) is a screenwriter and director. She graduated from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, with a major in film. When she was a member of Hou Hsiao-Hsien's crew, she participated in the production of films such as "Goodbye South, Goodbye" and "The Assassin". With her directorial debut, "Missing Johnny", she was nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best New Director and won four awards (including Best Screenplay) at the Taipei Film Festival. "Daughter's Daughter" is her latest screenplay, which was shortlisted for the Golden Horse Award for Best Original Screenplay.
