Born in 1975, Chun-Hsiu Hung earned his master’s degree from Graduate Institute of Documentary & Film Archiving, Tainan National University of the Arts. He is a lecturer for Department of Multimedia and Animation Arts of National Taiwan University of Arts and has engaged in the teaching and promotion of documentaries in recent years. His documentaries include The Lost Sea, Fishermen in the City, and Farmers in the City. He has won Best Documentary of Golden Harvest Awards, Best Editing of Taipei Film Awards, and New Generation Award of TIDF (Taiwan International Documentary Festival) Awards. His works feature river and sea as the main settings, showing the relationship between people and the land. The Lost Sea won Best Editing of the 16th Taipei Film Awards.
