Wei Zong-se is an on-set special effects supervisor. Before entering into the film industry, he used to work as a tour guide for rock climbing and river tracing in Hualien. In 2009, he met the location manager of "Seediq Bale" who was scouting locations in Hualien, and got to meet director Wei Te-sheng, who invited him to join the film crew and served as the leader of security team. Wei has since stepped into the film industry, and participated in the production of "Gatao," "The Tenants Downstairs" and "Black & White: The Dawn of Justice." He also participated in creating special effects for "Life of Pi" by Ang Lee and "Silence" by Martin Scorsese, allowing him to gain rich experience in filmmaking.
