Born in 1996 in Dacun Township, Changhua County, Jian-Ying Lai graduated from Department of Communication Arts of Chaoyang University of Technology in 2018. His debut film Wild flower is about love for one’s hometown. By observing the people and things in the environment he grew up, he gave a realistic depiction of the life of the rural society.
