Director

Hao-Wei Chen was born in Taichung and graduated from Department of Communication Arts of Chaoyang University of Technology. Irritable Boy for Public TV Service’s Innovative Story in 2019 was his first short film, for which he served as the writer, director, and editor. The film won Special Mention and Best Actor of the 44th Golden Harvest Awards, and Best Drama of 2021 New Taipei City Student Film Awards. He served as a field survey team member in the film script development project, Fei Fei the Flower, of Ministry of Culture. In addition to field survey work, he was also responsible for integration work such as typesetting and proofreading. His work “Reclaim My Summer” won Best Short Film at the 2024 Taipei Film Festival and was selected into Busan International Film Festival. It was also nominated for Golden Horse Awards and Golden Harvest Awards.
