Freddy Tang obtained a bachelor degree of law and had been a lawyer for 5 years. He obtained a master degree in film directing from California Institute of the Arts with a scholarship from the Taiwan government and started a career in the film and television industry. He was the screenwriter and director for the film Fantasy．World. His novel The Attorney from Bachimen won the First Prize of 2nd Mirror Fiction Awards and would be adapted into a TV series.
