Annie Nguyen is from Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. She is known as the "Vietnamese Sun Tsui-Feng", "Featured Actress of Taiwanese Opera" and "Pride of New Residents". As a child, she liked watching traditional Vietnamese operas. With the support of her parents, she joined the National Circus of Vietnam as an acrobat. During the circus tour in Chiayi, Taiwan in 2005, she fell in love with Fang-Yuan Chang, Xin Li-Mei Taiwanese Opera Troupe director’s son. They got married and she fulfilled her dream of learning Taiwanese Opera songs. The documentary The Immortal’s Play is based on her story. She played the lead in the film Days Before the Millennium.
