Bang-Yao Liu (1985-) earned a master’s degree from Taipei University of the Arts and studied in the U.S. His animation short film Deadline based on sticky notes attracted wide attention. In addition to the gold award of the 89th Annual Awards of the Art Directors Club in New York, it was selected by the 37th Student Academy Awards and listed among the Top 10 Viral-Video of The Year by Time Magazine. His SKODA car commercial won the Bronze Lion at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Best of the Best of Red Dot Design Award, and Gold-Annual Best of Times Awards (Taiwan). His short film No Pets Allowed, episode 4 of the series Till Death Do Us Part on Netflix, was nominated for four awards of Golden Bell Awards in 2020.
