YAO Sheng-Yang

Yao Sheng-Yang earned a master’s degree from the Department of Geography of the National Taiwan University. He is a film producer and distributor. As the third-generation successor of the well-known taiwanese distributor Swallow Wings Films, he has introduced the 6-hour-long Italian film "La meglio gioventù" into Taiwan, as well as non-mainstream films from Russia, Turkey, Iran, and Germany. These films were widely praised, and his ability for film selection is highly recognized. He also executive-produced films ("The Mermaid’s Tale" and "Fish Memories") and serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Motion Pictures and Video of Kun Shan University.
