Shih Cheng-Yu worked as an advertising planner before becoming a full-time screenwriter. His work, "Insomnia Taxi", stood out from over two hundred entries and won the Golden Screenplay Award at the Filming Taipei Screenplay Competition. He was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Golden Horse Awards for "GATAO: Like Father Like Son", and "My Internet Celebrity Daughter" is another well-known work by him.
