Li Xin obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the Department of Motion Picture at the National Taiwan University of Arts. "Growing Pains" produced by her received the Ministry of Culture's fund for short films and won Best Actor at the Hawaii International Film Festival as well as Merit Award and Audience Choice Award at the New Taipei City Student Film Awards. The film "To the Sea" produced by her won the Golden Bell Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries and was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the Golden Horse Awards and Best Short Film at the Golden Harvest Awards. Her other works include the documentary "Confidence: Taiwan's 21st-Century Path" and the film "Eerie Hometown."
