A-yong used to be the assistant of a leader of a gang. When he is saved by the gang leader's woman, Li Hong, the gang leader thinks A-yong has disgraced her. From that moment, A-yong has been on the run. Da-ke and Siao-li are two unremarkable members of the gang. On a mission, they are set up by someone and made scapegoats. From that moment on, gangsters try to silence them. During his escape, A-yong meets Da-ke and Siao-li, and through various unexpected circumstances, the three become good friends. They also come to the conclusion that the only way out of their predicament is to hide in the Shaolin Temple in the mountains. They concentrate on their training.
