Hou-zih and his friends go playing on Houshan. On the mountain, there is a Japanese haunted house. One of the house walls face the mountain, and on the other side of the mountain is the sea. Inadvertently, Hou-zih and his friends find a mysterious cave. Arriving at school, Hou-zih tells his friends of this great event, and conjectures that a treasure may be buried in the cave. They decide to meet to explore the cave. Hou-zih and three others enter the cave, but no matter how much they look around, they still get lost. They spend three days and two nights in the cave. Feeling hungry and cold, they think that they are about to die. Finally, the four see a light through a small hole covered by vegetation. Outside the hole, they see the ocean with the lights of fishing boats on it. Having found a way out, they all rejoice.
