"Tomorrow comes today" is a story about a Chinese food delivery boy looking for his mother in New York City; and the picture he carries as his mother is actually a picture of Marlene Dietrich. He goes into all kinds of apartment buildings. Listening to sounds of New Yorker's life behind doors, he does his job. He is looking for balance between East and West cultures. In the process, he loses his bike, gets his tongue root cut, scavenges a cowboy outfit from the street, dances alone in empty hallways, and sometimes spies on his neighbor Wayne. The neighbor is a Caucasian young man who makes a living by cleaning payphone at night. Dumped by his 'sort-of' girl friend who is a saleswoman at 1-800-777-film, Wayne wants to forget this phone number. He buys taped lessons called 'how to forget things you don't want to remember.' He jogs, reads phone books, and does acupuncture as instructed. He encounters a girl who claims to have a twin sister. He calls them 408 and 409. He tries to date them, not caring or wanting to know the difference between the two....  Close
