Holding a degree from the Department of Chinese Drama of the Chinese Culture University, Lin used to work as a producer and assistant director of music videos and commericals. His works often reflect his observations on society and people through humorous narrating with quick tempo to provoke thoughts. The 2005 "Jump! Boys (翻滾吧!男孩)," 2011 "Jump! Ashin (翻滾吧!阿信)," and 2017 "Jump! Men (翻滾吧!男人)" are his "Jump Trilogy" that spans twelve years.
