Tom Shu-Yu is an outstanding new-generation film director from Taiwan. He graduated from the RTF department of Shih Hsin University, and later received his MFA from California Institute of Arts. His unique bilingual background has enabled him to bring elements from both the east and the west into his work, where he excels at exploring the root of human nature via dramatic plots and sophisticated characters.
