Born in 1977, Jerry Yan debuted in the show business as a model in the early days. In 2000, he gained popularity for his performance in the TV series, Spicy Teacher. In 2001, he starred in the idol drama, Meteor Garden, and became widely popular. The four starring actors of Meteor Garden, including Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, VanNess Wu and Ken Chu, formed a boy band, F4, which was all the rage in the Asia show business.
