Graduated from Master's Program in Department of Radio, Television and Film of Shih Hsin University, Chen-Nien Ko is good at producing films of depression, suspense, thriller and other genres, and "Human Nature" is often used as the creative theme of her works. She was nominated for Best Short Film of Golden Horse Awards with Horse with No Name, and in 2015, she won Special Mention of Golden Harvest Awards with Under the Water. Because Under the Water was so appreciated by director Shau-Di Wang, she was invited to serve as the director and screenwriter of Close Your Eyes Before It's Dark of Qseries, which was nominated for Best Director and Best Screenwriter for a Television Series of 2017 Golden Bell Awards.
