A senior executive producer dedicated to producing and distributing high-quality Mandarin-language films, David Tang actively supports emerging directors and actors, promoting the development of Taiwan's film and television industry. Formerly a senior cinema journalist for the United Daily News Group, he has accumulated professional experience and a strong network for the past 20 years. He turned to production in 2006 and has produced important works such as John Woo's “Red Cliff,” Chen Kaige's “Forever Enthralled” and “Caught in the Web,” and Su Chao-Bin's “Reign of Assassins.”

His representative works for the past few years include Chang Heng-Ju's series titled “Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner” as well as films such as Cheng Wei-Hao's “Who Killed Cock Robin,” Hung Po-Hao's “Dad's Suit” and “The Soul,” Lai Meng-Chieh's “Stand by Me,” Cheng Wei-Hao's “The Soul,” and Tseng Ying-Ting's “The Abandoned.” He has repeatedly won Golden Horse Awards, Golden Bell Awards, and Taipei Film Awards, and achieved box office success in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. In recent years, he also expanded international collaborations, producing films such as “A Boy and A Girl” and “The Uniform,” promoting new actors onto the international stage.*
