Midi Z
Director , Scriptwriter
Born in Myanmar, Midi Z was trained as an artist in Taiwan. His latest feature, Ice Poison, premiered at the 2014 Berlinale, was Taiwan’s entry to the Oscars’ Best Foreign Language Film. His first documentary Jade Miners premiered at the 2015 International Film Festival Rotterdam. In the same year, his script of The Road to Mandalay won the biggest prize at L’Atelier at the Cannes and the Prix ARTE International.
