Chen Mei-Juin holds a Bachelor's degree in library from the National Taiwan University and a Master’s degree in Visual Anthropology from the University of Southern California. She is the head of Lotus Film Company. She worked extensively in Hollywood and the Public Broadcasting Service in the U.S.A. Her
film "The World of Mei Lanfang" was screened at the Berlin and Vancouver Film Festivals. Her documentary feature “Woman of the Southern Wind”, won The Chris Statuette Award at Columbus International Film and Video Festival. ” Shaolin Ulysses: Kungfu Monks in America” which aired on PBS’s Emmy award-winning Independent Lens series. Her other works include “The Gangster's Daughter” and “Demon Hunters”.
