Po-Hsiung Huang was born in 1984 in New Taipei City and graduated from Fu-Hsin Trade & Arts School. At the age of 15, he entered the film industry as a cinematographer. He was good at all kinds of shots, such as one continuous shot, martial arts fighting, and shooting in vehicles. He was active in the film and television industries in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, and his works include Operation Mekong, Operation Red Sea, Raging Fire, etc.
On March 11, 2022, in shooting the TV series, The First Embrace, of Domani Production Co. at the Shenxian Valley in Nanzhuang, Miaoli, he and a boom operator surnamed Wang fell into the valley and died. The incident aroused discussions about the labor environment, industrial safety awareness, and occupational disaster prevention in Taiwan's film and television industry.
