Tzu-Yang Chen was born in Taiwan and has lived abroad since his childhood. He graduated from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Chapman University. In his college years, he began his directing and screenwriting career with "Potato Knight" co-directed with schoolmates. “Murmur of Memories” is his debut feature.
