Aiko is 26 years old, works at a publishing company. She had just lost her lover to a younger woman, and been transferred from a position at the glamorous fashion magazine editorial to the dull non-serial project department. She is sent to Taiwan to gather materials on a cycling event. Presently, she meets a 16-year-old girl, Tonton, at a bike shop. Tonton, who dreams about her success, gets excited when she finds out Aiko is heading to Sun Moon Lake: there is an opportunity to fulfill her dream of becoming a model. She knows that her parents wouldn’t allow her to go, and that she needs to get there somehow on her own. She lies about her age and tells Aiko she is 21, hides her true purpose, and becomes Aiko’s guide almost by force. Aiko reluctantly sets out on an interview trip on bicycle with Tonton. After a series of mishap and being helped by Yu and Go, the cyclists they meet along the way, they reach their destination, Sun Moon Lake. What fate awaits each of them in the Cyclists’ Holy Land?
