Fan Chien-yu graduated from Shih Hsin University with a degree in Directing and Writing and went on to study filmmaking at Tokyo University in 1987. After returning to Taiwan, he joined the production crews of "Super Citizen Ko," "Blue Moon" and "Connection by Fate," and introduced the three films to the Tokyo International Film Festival, showing his qualities of film marketing. Fang specializes in collaborating with film distributors and enterprise to market films and create movie sensation. For instance, his marketing strategies had helped both "Night Market Hero" and "Din Tao: Leader of the Parade" hit more than NT$100 million at the box office.
