Yeh Chin-sheng is a filmmaker, screenwriter and producer. His works encompass film, TV productions and TV commercials. His son is director Yeh Tien-lun. Yeh often takes inspirations from nativist literature. His films, including "Chaste Virgin," "Blue Brave-The Legend of Formosa in 1895," and "Sayonara Good Bye," as well as TV dramas "Lonely River" and "La Grande Chaumière Violett" are all adapted from literary works by Taiwanese authors. He was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Golden Horse Awards for "The March of Happiness."
