Liang Chi-hui learned from film scores master David McHugh when she was a student at the University of North Carolina School of the Art. She has composed scores for Hollywood indie films. She also released an EP album titled "Vita Eterna" in the U.S. in 2004, and won the Best Instrumental Song at the JPF Music Awards in 2006. In 2008, she returned to Taiwan and formed a band called Vita Eterna, in which she serves as the music director, troupe leader, keyboardist, composer, and music arranger. In 2010, her band released debut album "Beyond Boundaries," which earned Golden Melody nominations for best composition, best music arrangement and producer of the year, and won the Golden Melody Award for best fusion album.
Since 2008, she started to compose music for Taiwanese audiovisual works, encompassing TV commercials, animations, films and TV programs, and has composed scores for several films including "The Walkers" and "A Journey of 35." She was nominated for Best Sound at the Golden Bell Awards for "Dear Mother Earth."
