Qing-Xia Brigitte Lin (1954-) is an actress and writer. She became well-known for her debut in the movie "Outside the Window” (1973) and mainly performed in romantic movies. In 1990, she successfully shifted to acting in costume and martial arts films and has acted in more than 100 films. After getting married in 1994, she faded out of the film industry and started writing. She has published three books of prose. She won Best Actress at the 22nd Asian-Pacific Film Festival ("Eight Hundred Heroes", 1976), Best Actress at the 27th Golden Horse Awards ("Red Dust", 1990), and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 60th Golden Horse Award (2023). Her representative works include "The Misty Moon", "Eight Hundred Heroes", "Red Dust", and "The Bride with White Hair".
