Gui is a middle-aged assassin who has just been assigned to kill an already dying man. This, combined with the fact that he is becoming a father, makes him hesitant to kill ever again. After this last job, he decides to start a new life and turns himself in to the police.
Hong, a high school student, has grown up his entire life without a father. His mother, Catherina, has recently left home partly because she feels guilty about neglecting her son. Shortly after her departure, Hong is involved in a kidnapping plot. Unfortunately, the girl they kidnap, Coco, happens to be the stepdaughter of a retired superintendent, and the case draws a huge public attention. Ultimately, Hong is the one arrested and convicted for everything.
Hong, incarcerated, meets Gui in prison, and the two become close friends. On release from prison, however, Gui finds that his wife and child are already with another man. Along with Hong, he begins to plot his revenge. He finds that the person responsible is a retired superintendent, with ties to the mob. This person, as it turns out, is Coco's stepfather. As Gui considers his revenge plan, Hong meets Coco and immediately falls in love. Catherina and Gui also meet and start to have feelings for each other. Coco discovers the fact and informs Hong. Hong deduces the reason Gui no longer wants revenge is because of his mother, and decides to run away with Coco. They steal Gui's gun, and plans to kill Coco's stepfather. In the end, Hong does pull the trigger, only the one who dies is his love, Coco.
