| Biography: |
Born in 1968, Chris Hou specializes in composing film score and commercial music as well as music production. He used to be the keyboard player of the male band Oriental Express and had released a solo album. Later, his passion in creation drove him to work behind the scenes. Since 1995, he has been engaged in film and commercial music composition. His representative film soundtracks include "Blue Gate Crossing," "You're the Apple Of My Eye," and "Our Times." He also served as the judge of the Golden Horse Awards, the Golden Bell Awards and the Golden Melody Awards, playing an important role in the domestic music industry. Chris Hou co-created the theme song for Taipei Exchanges (2010), which won Best Original Film Song of Golden Horse Awards. Eight years later, he won Best Music of Taipei Film Awards and Best Original Film Score of the 55th Golden Horse Awards for his composition for Father to Son. He further won Best Original Film Song of Golden Horse Awards for his composition for Your Name Engraved Herein and Best Instrumental Album of Golden Melody Awards for his composition for Increasing Echo. |
